RiskWise.AI x Great American Insurance

Risk intelligence for excess and umbrella underwriting

RiskWise.AI continuously monitors billions of signals across legal, regulatory, academic, news, social, and financial data. It extracts the specific forces driving risk, attributes them to the companies and exposures they affect, and delivers a source-cited, continuously updating view tailored to your underwriting workflows.

Scope of the Proof of Concept
Built Around Your Renewal Book and Emerging Exposures

This evaluation is structured around your actual accounts and the emerging risks your team identified. No synthetic data. You evaluate RiskWise against decisions you are already making.

10 Company Profiles

Renewal Account Intelligence

Each company receives a dedicated, continuously updating risk profile combining signals from litigation, regulation, media, research, and more into a single underwriting view.

  • Dallas Cowboys Football Club Ltd
  • Walmart Inc.
  • Apple Inc.
  • Marriott International, Inc.
  • W.W. Grainger, Inc.
  • A.O. Smith Corporation
  • Airbnb, Inc.
  • Alcoa Corporation
  • Turner Construction Company
  • The Home Depot, Inc.
Each company profile includes: Full-spectrum analysis of the company's risk landscape, including all attributable General Risks with enhanced Driver detail for those in-scope. Risk indices and time-series fueling trend analysis, forecasts, and real-time change alerts*. Company snapshots highlighting where risk is headed, what is driving it, what is offsetting it (controls and improvements that support writing or expanding limits), and the extent to which adjacent entities share these exposures. Deep-Research briefings for targeted investigation.
* Real-time change alerts launching May 2026
2 Emerging Risk Profiles

Risks Your Team Is Tracking

These profiles track entire risk ecosystems: who is exposed, how the risk is evolving, and where it is headed. Built for portfolio-level decisions.

  • AI Data Centers - Personal Injury and Nuisance Claim Activity
  • Construction Defect Claims Related to Wrap-Up Coverage
Each emerging risk profile includes: Drivers framed as traceable, source-cited explanations to pressure-test severity, appetite, and limits. Narrative signals capturing new allegations, reframes, and emerging exposures that often precede excess and umbrella loss escalation. Risk indices and time-series fueling trend analysis, forecasts, and real-time change alerts*. A searchable peer map of companies linked to the risk and underlying drivers, with benchmarking to help calibrate severity, select comparables, and pressure-test limit decisions. Deep-Research briefings for portfolio decisions.

Inside Every Profile
What Your Team Will See

Each profile answers the questions that matter at renewal: Is this risk growing or receding? What is the evidence? Who else is exposed? Should we write, expand, or restrict?

Risk Direction

Where risk is headed: trending up, stable, or improving, grounded in data across all monitored sources.

Risk Drivers

The specific causal forces behind a risk's movement, traced to regulatory filings, scientific publications, or plaintiff activity, with source citations.

Early Signals and Narratives

How risk is being framed: new allegations, legal theories, and emerging exposures that often precede loss escalation.

Risk Indices and Trends

Quantified, comparable risk scores over time, calibrated against real outcomes: litigation filings, regulatory actions, product recalls.

Peer and Entity Maps

Which other companies share the same risk exposures. Calibrate severity against peers and identify portfolio concentration.

Deep Research Briefings

On-demand, interactive reports compiling the full context surrounding a risk, every source cited, every connection mapped.

Mapping and Configuration
AI-Powered. Underwriter-Governed.

RiskWise supports both default AI-driven mapping and guided or hybrid mapping where GA informs the guardrails. Your team decides how much control to take.

Default AI-Driven Mapping

The platform automatically maps risks to companies, continually surfaces new risks as they emerge, and updates Drivers across Company and General Risk profiles as the signal landscape evolves.

Guided or Hybrid Mapping

GA can inform, constrain, or prioritize how risks map to specific companies and how Drivers align across all profiles, with RiskWise continuously updating within those guardrails. Admin users can also govern how the model behaves and how entities are classified in-platform to reflect GA underwriting judgment, including:

  • Adjust driver and data-channel weights to directly shape risk indices and time series, blending model guidance with GA expertise to fine-tune the AI with your underwriting standards.
  • Set visibility and source governance for risks, drivers, narratives, and related company connections.

Your team controls the guardrails

You choose the level of automation: fully AI-driven discovery, guided mapping where GA sets the parameters, or a hybrid of both. The system updates continuously within your rules.

Admin users govern how the model behaves and how entities are classified, shaping risk indices, driver weights, and visibility to reflect GA's underwriting standards.

Evaluation Criteria and Success Rubric
How We Measure Success Together

We will align on a success rubric in Week 1, revisit at midpoint, and build a final readout with examples and findings so the POC leads to a clear decision.

Final Readout

Scorecard with examples, findings, and recommended footprint

Your stated evaluation criteria include usability, relevance and quality, timeliness vs. SLA, underwriting value, and cost-effectiveness. We propose translating these into an agreed scorecard:

Workflow Fit

How well outputs support underwriting and renewal workflows

Insight Quality

Are insights material and decision-relevant?

Evidence Quality

Can every insight be traced to a defensible source?

Timeliness

Does delivery meet agreed service expectations?

Scalability

Can coverage expand without degrading quality?

Final readout: As we approach the conclusion of the 90-day POC, RiskWise and GA will collaborate to form a final readout mapped to the rubric with examples, findings, along with a recommended production footprint and next steps.

POC Delivery Plan
From Start to Go-Live in Days

The 90-day POC validates underwriting and portfolio value for excess and umbrella workflows, and defines the right production footprint if you move forward.

Start Condition

Delivery timing begins once RiskWise receives (1) the finalized list of companies and general risks in scope and (2) GA user access details (SSO/IDP configuration or user roster) plus any required security approvals.

Phase 1 · Setup and Governance

Configure access, user roles (Users vs Admins), and any initial mapping guardrails GA wants to apply (optional).

Phase 2 · Build and Baseline Availability

RiskWise configures the profiles, runs initial ingestion and mapping, backfills five years of historical data for each new profile, and publishes the baseline set in-app for GA access.

Phase 3 · Enablement and Go-Live

Conduct onboarding and align the operating cadence for feedback, calibration, and requested additions. The 90-day POC will commence on this date.

Operating Cadence and Support Model

Dedicated Support and Weekly Sessions

A named support team facilitates weekly working sessions on deployment, enablement, and adoption, with fast-turn support between sessions.

Data Science Calibration Early Adopter

Up to five early-adopter checkpoints with our Data Science team to review results, pressure-test assumptions, calibrate model behavior, and translate GA feedback into configuration updates and roadmap priorities.

Profile Delivery Targets and Change Handling

Baseline Availability

The initial set of 12 profiles (10 Company and 2 General Risk) will be delivered in-app within five business days of the Start Condition being met, inclusive of five-year historical backfill.

Additions During the POC

If GA requests additional profiles during the POC, up to 10 profiles will be delivered in-app within five business days of request. Requests exceeding 10 profiles will be scheduled on a mutually agreed timeline based on scope and request volume.

Expedited Requests

For time-sensitive profile additions, RiskWise will make best efforts to deliver within three business days; expedited timing is not guaranteed and may depend on request volume and resourcing.

Definition of Profile Delivery

"Delivered" means the requested profile is visible in-app to authorized GA users, includes a five-year historical backfill, and is included in the relevant indices, Drivers, Narratives, and mapping views.

Roadmap

Self-serve creation of new Company, Industry, and General Risk profiles in-app is planned for a future release (estimated 6 to 12 months) and is not required for POC delivery.
